Who are we?
We're dog people, just like you. Our house is built for kids and dogs. The more the merrier....and we hate paying $80-$100 per night for dog boarding.
We live in Belmont, next door to baseball fields and the bike path. Our home is on the first floor of a 2-family house with plenty of room to romp and wrestle.
We've asked friends to watch Murphy, and that's been great. We have an amazing dog sitter, but she charges $80/night - ouch.
We'd rather Murphy stay with a furry friend within a community of laid back folks and we could return whenever needed.
Is it really free?
Yes!
We want to make this a community without boarding fees or membership fees.
But reciprocity is the key to any relationship, right? If I watch yours, you make a commitment to watch theirs. It need not be right away and it's definitely NOT a direct trade.
Life is long and friendship always comes back around.
How would it work?
To be honest, this can be anything we want.
First, drop us a line and let's chat.
Next, I can make some coffee or tea or something. We chat and let the dogs get to know each other. Or maybe we all go for a walk together.
Maybe we do it again at your house or maybe we try an overnight visit. Maybe we schedule some dates when one of us is traveling to get started.
So far, we've kept a calendar of when we've been helping each other so that each of us knows we're keeping up our end of the friendship.
Finally....hopefully....we do it again! And again, and again.

Maybe when someone is dog sitting for you, that person needs to go to work or to the beach with their grandchildren, or whatever. Hiring a dog walker to walk both dogs is the best thing for the dogs.
Pack rules might say we share those costs.
Is it only for long stays or overnight?
Why limit the fun?
Maybe you need to hop out town for a quick weekend or just an overnight for business.
Maybe you'll be at work late or have a business dinner to go to straight from the office. Life happens.
Maybe your pup needs to get some energy out during a week of rain.
